After your annual spring clean, the next biggest step is moving on to arranging your closet. This is the best way to get each and everything in your room sorted and arranged. When you pay attention to your closet, you’ll notice that there are a few things you need to first do before you get on to the arranging and organizing. Getting your closet in order will help make your morning much easier, and you’ll be able to find exactly what you are looking for without having to create a tornado every morning. Listed below are a few tips to help you get started on arranging your closet!
Separating the clothes
First, you need to go about separating all the clothes that you have. This means starting with the clothes that you wear on a regular basis, your party and special event clothes, your boho clothing and your winter clothes. Remember, when you separate these and start by doing this it will make the process of arranging so much easier for you. You may have to allocate at least a day or two entirely to deal with only your closet. This depends on the size of your closet and how much clothes you actually have. Once separated, make sure you know which bundle in which type of clothes, to make everything much easier.
Getting rid of items
Next, you need to go through each of the separated bundles and get rid of anything that you do not find useful or do not fit to anymore. The main aspect that makes spring cleaning much harder than it actually o’s, is when you allow all your clothes to remain in your closet as you do not want to get rid of them. This is something we all go through, however, it is of utmost importance that you somehow make your mind to get rid of any clothes you do not use anymore. You can always donate the clothes in good condition to a charity or even sell them at a garage sale! Once you have gotten rid of your clothes, you’ll feel a sense of completion.
The size of your closet or updating your closet
Finally, you need to take a good hard look at your closet and the clothes you have. You may have already gone shopping to get clothes or shoes that you wanted to, and now you need to see if the closet you already have will suffice to hold all the clothes that you have. Make sure you have enough room so that the clothes are not all stacked together making it hard to find what you need. You may have to get another closet separately for your shoes and accessories so that not everything is put together. Try and make your life as easy as possible when arranging your closet.
Listed above were a few ways to help with organizing your closet. Make sure you try your absolute best to make your closet both easy on your eyes and easy on yourself.
